Dussehra - Hidden Facts

Image
A lot such things are done on Dusshera which shouldn’t be done as they are incorrect rather useless too…   For example first let us consider distributing Apta leaves  (Bauhinia racemosa) as gold on Dusshera, may it be a long tradition now needs to be corrected. On one hand we give messages to save environment & on the contrary pluck the Apta leaves unnecessarily... But now the number of apta trees has come down drastically and there is a need to save these trees. The apta tree has no fragrance and does not bear fruit. So very few people plant it. As a result, the number of apta trees has decreased. Apta trees are found outside the village. The sellers bring in large quantities of apta leaves to sell on Dussehra in the market. Whereas, on the next day large quantity of dried apta leaves can be found thrown in the garbage. Therefore, offering apta leaves on Dussehra is merely destroying the environment. Apta tree has scientific importanc...

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Mahatma Gandhi)

Image
Generations to come will scare believe that such a one as this walked the earth in flesh and blood. -Albert Einstein (to Mahatma Gandhi) Mahatma Gandhi was a visionary leader. He was the pioneer of Satyagraha movements. He inspired people to understand and learn resistance through non-violent civil disobedience. There are a lot of misgivings about Mahatma Gandhi in the mind of our people. Unlike I had already mentioned one in my previous article ‘Independence Day’ released on August 15 2021. (Attaching the link below https://janhavidudhane7.blogspot.com/2021/08/independence-day.html ) Gandhiji initially and from a very long time continued to oppose partition. He said Partition can happen only on his dead body. He even suggested that let Jinnah be the prime minister if that can avoid partition. [Jinnah was a dying man (a well guarded secret). He had less than a year to live. He wanted to ensure partition happens before he is gone.] Britishers wanted to sho...

Why celebrate teacher’s day as 5th of September???

Image
Why celebrate teacher’s day as 5th of September??? Why celebrate teacher’s day as 5th of September as birthday of the plagiarize man In a country where teacher is worshipped, if he steals his students thesis and publishes it by his own name what are we supposed to call him??? Teacher deserves to be a respected person… Not a plagiarize person… In the January 1929 issue of the Modern Review, Jadunath Sinha made a sensational claim regarding Dr. Radhakrishnan Sarvepalli None other than Radhakrishnan Sarvepalli had plagiarized from him his Indian Philosophy Volume II. He had lifted several passages from Sinha’s thesis. The battle spilled over into the February, March and April issues of the magazine too as Sinha cited several more passages to bolster his claim. Radhakrishnan hit back with letters in the February and March issues. In August 1929, Sinha sued Radhakrishnan. Radhakrishnan counter-sued both Sinha and Ramnath Chattopadhyay, the editor of Modern Review...

"The greatness of humanity is not in being human, but in being humane." ~Mahatma Gandhi It is important to remember on this occasion of World Humanitarian Day that there are more things that unite us all together in comparison to the things that divide us. Look beyond the division and work towards protections on this day…  The real joy of life is in helping and caring for someone else above your own personal gains.  Be kind and help humanity on this day.  Happy World Humanitarian Day. This day was designated in memory of the 19 August 2003 bomb attack on the Canal Hotel in Baghdad, Iraq, killing 22 people, including the chief humanitarian in Iraq, Sergio Vieira de Mello. In 2009, the United Nations General Assembly formalized the day as World Humanitarian Day. There are no different races… There is only one race and that is human race… We are all humans, thus we all are the same! All humans are born free and equal in rights and dignity… Thus eve...

Independence Day 🇮🇳

Image
Happy Independence Day Independence is a big word… That often means little… It’s now time to introspect how independent we truly are!!! Ask yourself today is India truly free? Are we really free? Free from… 1. Colonial rule ✅ 2. British Slavery ✅ 3. Poverty ❎ 4. Unemployment ❎ 5. Illiteracy ❎ 6. Ever increasing crime ❎ Today even after 75 years of independence, although we are free from the hold of British Forces, but how free we are as the people of a independent nation? Cudgel your brains and think are we free from poverty, corruption, illiteracy and all such issues? As one question goes another makes us a way… Have we failed as a nation ??? I have a question for the government too… Even after these many years of independence, we cannot assure our people the independence! What’s the use of being a independent nation… 75 years of independence… & we are unable to send all our children to school… & what about girls education Still the school dropout rate among a...
