Independence Day 🇮🇳

Happy Independence Day

Independence is a big word…
That often means little…

It’s now time to introspect how independent we truly are!!!

Ask yourself today is India truly free?
Are we really free?

Free from…
1. Colonial rule ✅
2. British Slavery ✅
3. Poverty ❎
4. Unemployment ❎
5. Illiteracy ❎
6. Ever increasing crime ❎

Today even after 75 years of independence, although we are free from the hold of British Forces, but how free we are as the people of a independent nation?
Cudgel your brains and think are we free from poverty, corruption, illiteracy and all such issues?
As one question goes another makes us a way…
Have we failed as a nation ???
I have a question for the government too…
Even after these many years of independence, we cannot assure our people the independence!
What’s the use of being a independent nation…

75 years of independence…
& we are unable to send all our children to school…
& what about girls education
Still the school dropout rate among adolescent girls is 63.5%.

We say,
Secularism is the backbone of our democracy…
It must thrive no matter what!
But here in this independent nation, secularism is being assassinated.
No Indian prime minister than our current P.M. has ever made obvious and clear comments, pitting the majority religious community against minority religions and dividing the nation.
Hats off to you Sir !!!
The current central ruling party, has always claimed the mantle of nationalism. In fact, this claim has been made quite virulently, that anybody who dares to oppose it is labelled as an anti-national (desh drohi), or asked to go to Pakistan.
But the true irony is that the ruling party at centre is not a national or even a nationalist party in a critical sense – it simply does not represent all sections of the Indian population.
India is not a republic based on religion, but the ruling party at center is…
No secular democratic republic can have a party representing only a religious majority
Therefore, according to me any party representing majority hindu, can only be a Hindu party and not a national party & Mr. Prime Minister just brazenly proved it once again.
Is this the way our country is independent?
Violating the rules and dominating over the people !
I consider it as no, a big NO indeed…

The government has failed!
The government has failed an ‘Emerging Superpower’ to a ‘Failed State’…
Just to clear,
I’m not in favor of anyone nor I’m trying to defend anyone!
But initially atleast we were progressive…
But today we are going backwards...
Isn't this a major concern?

A few years back…
I was very much shocked when a young Indian fellow advised me to listen to the audiotape of Nathuram Godse’s Speech & re-correct my perspective about Mahatma Gandhi.
Of course another admirer of Godse I found here, he found Gandhiji guilty for the partition of India and Pakistan.
It really disturbs to hear all these revisionist versions…
It really destroys the reputation of such a great man!
In reality Gandhiji always opposed partition until the very end !
This isn't merely my POV, but it's what history says...

Earlier on Wednesday, Opposition members in Rajya Sabha slammed the government over the incidents in the House when a bill related to insurance businesses was taken up for passage with NCP leader Sharad Pawar alleging that “women MPs were attacked” and “more than 40 men and women were brought into the House from outside to control the MPs”.
Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi criticised the government alleging that the Centre talks of ‘Beti Padhao, Beti Padhao’ but attempts to crush the voice of women. She alleged that MPs were manhandled.
If it's true then the question arises,
If the daughters of the nation are not secure then we have truly failed as an independent nation…

The day a girl/women can stand and walk freely in the day and night as well without any fear in her mind & also with no one pointing fingers at her character, that day I feet we can say that India has gained independence.

The day when instead of small children selling flags on the road will be seen in their school for flag hosting, that day I’ll be proud to say that India has gained Independence.

The day I’ll see all people of all communities together once again celebrating happiness instead of banging down each other it will give me immense pleasure to say that India has gained Independence.

The day I’ll see the country’s annual report and see that the suicidal cases of farmers have dropped down to 0%, that day I’ll rejoice say that India has gained Independence.

The day I’ll see all people being treated equally and getting all the necessary basic fundamental rights, that day I’ll be tremendously happy to say that India has gained Independence.

India isn’t a country who thinks only one-sided, we have a great heart to welcome all sorts of progressive development to the people, for the people, by the people.

India is my country…….
When I read the above line and when I was  noting all my thoughts I was wondering...
This is my nation! My Bharat!
No one can dare to destruct in any way...
I will always stand for what’s right and true!
I will be the change for the well-being of my nation.
As Bharatians will you be the same change too?
Let us all come together and complete the above checklist ...

Last but not the least...
Salute to all the known and unknown  who struggled and laid down their lives for our freedom…
Also the soldiers who till date are sacrificing their lives to protect us as a nation...

Jai Bharat 🇮🇳
