She/Her #'I’M WHAT I AM, NOT WHAT I WEAR !!' #LOOK FOR WHO YOU ARE !!
'I’M WHAT I AM, NOT WHAT I WEAR !!'
What we teach our children is important & is what matters, regardless if it’s at class or at our home !
Girls clothing is often judged may it be at schools, colleges, workplaces & almost every where!
For example let’s consider Jeans.
A simple, cool piece of clothing…
…cool when boys wear.
But wait…
Now when it comes to girls there are few biased judgments which come along with “the jeans” ; which doesn’t allow them going beyond their sense limits.
Instead a girl is preferred to be seen in a traditional outfit.
A girl isn’t allowed to wear her choice.
It hard to understand the concept of being allowed.
Being a human being, does she not have a rights to decide what to wear & what not.
In India, people judge the character of girls by the type and length of their clothes. Instead of making the society safer for women and punishing the rapists, her clothes are held offensive and not the culprit. This leads to ban o certain types of clothes that which are said to be curse for feminity as an all time solution.
What are we teaching our young generation? We’re forcing them to wear what is acceptable by the society, rather than what’s comfortable to them !
Is this freedom.
But, freedom is also followed by responsibility, so never underestimate it.
I was taught by mom, to not be negatively judgmental towards any one!
'We should be comfortable, to carry what we are wearing'
,have always been her words.
She told me to always be confident in everything I do (until it’s correct), it doesn’t matter what the society has to say !
What make me, is me! Not my clothes!
So, why aren’t all parents as well as the teachers teaching this to the children ?
Wear what u feel, to clothe yourself and not to be a exposure piece of statement for self or others.
LOOK FOR WHO YOU ARE !!
Women are an easy target of body shaming!
No one should ever talk negatively about anyone’s, especially women’s body type.
It should be avoided when there are children or youngsters around.
This may affect their thinking towards others or themselves.
I would never speak about a person and their physique to discuss with anyone.
Everyone is unique in their own way.
All have their own struggle with life, labelling then fat or skinny or anything such, won’t help me being perfect.
Rather no one is perfect, neither I.
Ladies you are beautiful the way you are !!
Unless your beautiful…
Cause beautiful isn’t a size, shape, shade or height…
So, stop unnecessarily fixing your bodies for others, when you have the power to fix the world !!
Don’t let the so called society set up beauty standards for you.
Being who you are, as you are, is simplicity.
& don’t forget simplicity rocks .
HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY !
You loves play cricket 🏏 Nice
