World Humanitarian Day "The greatness of humanity is not in being human, but in being humane."
"The greatness of humanity is not in being human, but in being humane."
~Mahatma Gandhi
It is important to remember on this occasion of World Humanitarian Day that there are more things that unite us all together in comparison to the things that divide us.
Look beyond the division and work towards protections on this day…
The real joy of life is in helping and caring for someone else above your own personal gains.
Be kind and help humanity on this day.
Happy World Humanitarian Day.
This day was designated in memory of the 19 August 2003 bomb attack on the Canal Hotel in Baghdad, Iraq, killing 22 people, including the chief humanitarian in Iraq, Sergio Vieira de Mello. In 2009, the United Nations General Assembly formalized the day as World Humanitarian Day.
There are no different races…
There is only one race and that is human race…
We are all humans, thus we all are the same!
All humans are born free and equal in rights and dignity…
Thus everyone should have a feeling of affinity towards one another!
Not a certain a group of people but all should be concerned with trying to make other peoples lives better.
If everyone thinks about each other sister-brotherhood will develop!
The theme of this year’s world humanitarian day is SHOWING CLIMATE CHANGE AND SECURING THE PLANET’S FUTURE!
This year it highlights the immediate consequences of the climate emergency for the world's most vulnerable people and ensure that their voices are heard & their needs top the agenda at UN.
The climate emergency is an issue at a world .
We are already running for the worlds most vulnerable people -those who contributed least to the global climate emergence yet are hit the hardest- and other millions of people other are already struggling.
There is no vaccine for climate change. But we do have solutions.
In 2021, 235 million people will need humanitarian assistance and protection. This number has risen to 1 in 33 people worldwide.
Salute to the true heroes!
Here heroes aren’t made with any special
Costumes or any magical abilities; But by being human !
Our heroes had have been stepping up to help us, time after time…
…with grit and compassion, without any superpower but humanity!!!
‘cause they aren’t fiction superheroes…
…they are superheroes of the real-world!!!
Today on this auspicious occasion of world humanitarian day we find pleasure to thank all of them…
Thank you to all the humanitarians for keeping my faith alive in humanity…
It is important to speak up and change the things that need changing. Do not stay silent, speak up.
Martin Luther King once said, “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about all the things that matter.” So, don’t be silent, stand up and fight and save humanity on this day.
“Services to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth” So, pledge to help others on this day. Wish you a very happy World Humanitarian Day.
There are a lot of people in this world that need saving, if you’re not one of them, consider yourself lucky and do your part by saving them.
